It is essential chimneys/flues are swept regularly to ensure the safe passage of hazardous gasses.
Sweeping will remove soot, prevent blockages and protect your flue.
- It is recommended that a smokeless coal chimney is swept every 8-12 months
- A wood stove is swept quarterly.
- A standard coal chimney is swept every 6 months
- A gas/oil chimney is swept every 12 months.
